Book Bangin' is a feature hosted by Kelly @ Belle of the Literati where, once a month, we talk about hot boys in books!
This month's topic is "the good guys".
I totally forgot about my special mention. Fail. It's Levi from Fangirl. He wasn't quite book boyfriend material for me, but he is seriously so sweet and I just love him. He's so patient with Cath and I love that about him. Rainbow Rowell knows how to write the nice guys.
Guys Mentioned:
Carson from Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Prince Kai from Cinder by Marissa Meyer
Park from Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell
Augustus from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
Hot Guy of the Month:
Warden from The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon
Who are your favorite good guys? Have any in common with me? Who do I need to meet?

I loved Carson too, such a good guy!! And yes, Prince Kai, he's my favorite actually from that series. Augustus…yes, he's amazing. The trailer gets me every single time.
ReplyDeleteIt's funny how most of the good guys are in contemporary YA. Jase from My Life Next Door is one of my favorites. The ultimate good guy. I recommend that book (and him). And St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss. Oooh…Trevor from Pivot Point. Not a contemporary but it reads like one. Such a good guy!!!
What about Chaol? And Hector? Aren't they good guys???? :)
Fun post!! ~Pam
Prince Kai is so adorable. But my favorite is definitely Wolf. The trailer breaks my heart into a million pieces.
DeleteIsn't that weird? Like can good guys not exist in fantasy or sci-fi? Lol. I really need to read MLND. I have it on my Kindle, just haven't gotten around to it yet. I need to read Anna and the French Kiss too! Pivot Point has never really caught my attention even though I've heard really good things. Weird right? Should I read it?
Yes, they are definitely good guys, but I'm trying really hard not to repeat anybody and I definitely talked about them in my fantasy one.
Park Park Park Park Park! I love Park! I never knew hand-holding could make me feel the butterflies but thanks to Park it definitely did. I agree that Levi isn't quite MY boyfriend material, but definitely Cath's boyfriend material. Have you read Attachments? I assure you that Lincoln deserves all the book boyfriend mentions!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I agree with yaescapefromreality, Trevor from Pivot Point is a great book boyfriend. Read it! I literally could not put it down.
I really would love to just have Prince Kai all for myself. I haven't read Cress, and yet I like him so much from what I've read. Kai is such a good guy (and I love him for that!).
I know right?? When they were just holding hands my heart was racing and I felt like is was 14 again. Lol. Yes, Levi was perfect for Cath. And really a good guy. I haven't read Attachments yet, but I really want to!!!
DeleteI don't know. For some reason, I'm really not that interested in Pivot Point. Somebody needs to sell me on it and no one really has. :/
Lol, you can have Prince Kai I suppose if I can have Wolf.
I love that you mention Carson! He's so different from JLA's other boys, and even though you think he's a "bad boy" at first, he's actually more like the boy next door. Kai, Park, and Augustus are great also. :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to read The Bone Season! I think I'll just read it back-to-back with The Mime Order.
Yeah, he totally seemed like a bad boy at first, but he wasn't. So sweet and just perfect. Loved him!
DeleteI hope you enjoy The Bone Season! I think I'm going to continue on with the series, but the first one didn't wow me like it did with everybody else.
I love that you do videos, too!! Kai is such a good pick! I didn't even think of him!! AND AUGUSTUS!! Woot woot! I totally need to read Don't Look Back AND AND AND....WARDEN!!! EEEP!!! Such a hot man of the month!! He made mine when I read that book, too! Love love love!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI know! I was going through my Goodreads and I was like, oh my gosh, Prince Kai is perfect for this month! Don't Look Back is so freaking good!! Warden is pretty sexy. ;)
