Wow, it's already May! I can't believe April is over and summer is almost here! I can't wait for it to be consistently warm so I can swim and lay out in the sun reading books! I read and reviewed a lot of books in April, 13 total!
Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout - Favorite book of the month for sure!
Great by Sara Benincasa - Never read the original Gatsby, but loved this book. Very Gossip Girl.
Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong - Interesting new fantasy world, but a bit too introductory.
The Taking by Kimberly Derting - Alien abductions and experimentation! Lots of answered questions (first in a series), but a quick, fun read.
Blood Red Road by Moira Young - Badass main character! Fresh original dystopian.
Tease by Amanda Maciel - Important and realistic book about the consequences of bullying. Difficult main character, but great story.
Talker 25 by Joshua McCune - Badass and adorable dragons! There was some animal abuse though and it felt a bit rushed.
The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon - Liked it, but didn't LOVE it like everyone else seems to. I will probably continue the series though!
Deep Blue by Jennifer Donnelly - First mermaid book ever! Loved this imaginative and rich world. Can't wait for more!
Faelorehn by Jenna Elizabeth Johnson - Started off really well, but quickly turned into insta-love with no character development.
Don't Call Me Baby by Gwendolyn Heasley - Interesting story, but the voice was just a bit too young for me.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green - This book BROKE me. I sobbed so hard. Absolutely loved it. Can't wait for the movie and only hope that they do it justice.
The Here and Now by Ann Brashares - I really loved the idea of this one, but it had the potential to be so much better than it was. Insta-love really killed it for me.

Guardian by Alex London - LOVED the first book in this series!
The Wizard's Promise by Cassandra Rose Clarke - This one sounds so interesting and I'm loving Strange Chemistry's books!
Feather Bound by Sarah Raughley - I've actually already read this one (review to come shortly) and it was so unique and imaginative. I loved it!

We Were Liars by E. Lockhart - I've heard nothing but GREAT things about this one. Can't wait to see if it lives up to all the hype!
We Are the Goldens by Dana Reinhardt - A sister story. I'm a sucker for those. I hope this one shows a strong sibling relationship!
I started
doing zumba this month with a couple of friends from work. I hate
working out. Seriously, hate it. But this place is awesome. They turn
off all the lights so all you've got are the black lights. Then they
blast the music and you just dance. It totally feels like you're just at
the club, having a good time. Now if they would only put a bar in
there...
And of course, May means BEA!!!! The author signing schedule has been posted and I am freaking out in sheer excitement! Make sure if you are going to let me know so I can try to find you! HI REBECCA! I've been out of blogging for so long, i miss everyone! Firstly - YAY for another JLA book -- I reaaaally want to read don't look back! secondly, my non reading friends are telling me to read the fault in our stars bc they read it bc of the movie coming out. When my non reading friends are s urprised i haven't read it yet.. that means I need to get my butt in gear. I'm just SCARED. :/

We miss you too!!! Omg it was so freaking good! You will love it. So you should definitely read TFIOS. I LOVED it. I cried like a baby, but it was so freaking good. The thing about that book is that I fell in love with it without even realizing I was falling in love. One minute I was reading and the next minute I was sobbing and I had no idea I cared that much about the characters, but I really did. So good.

It's so fun! And I seriously hate working out so for me to say that a workout is fun is a pretty big deal.

I know right? Super lame. It needs to stop raining and get warm for real! I've only read two things of JLA's and I'm already a sworn die-hard fan. I will buy anything she writes because it must be gold.
