Yes, I know. It's halfway through October and I'm just wrapping up September. Oops. I had some family stuff come up though so I was away for a couple weeks and I've been slowing down a bit on the blog to focus on my writing. So all acceptable things right?
Reviews:
In the month of September I reviewed 10 books. Not as many as usual for me, but still a lot! And there were so pretty good ones in there too:
Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White - 4 Stars
Of Monsters and Madness by Jessica Verday - 4 Stars
The Fall by Bethany Griffin - 4 Stars
Blackbird by Anna Carey - 4 Stars
The Perilous Sea by Sherry Thomas - 4 Stars
Even in Paradise by Chelsea Philpot - 3.5 Stars
Winterspell by Claire Legrand - 5 Stars
Afterworlds by Scott Westerfeld - 3 Stars
The Bodies We Wear by Jeyn Roberts - 3.5 Stars
Crushed by Eliza Crewe - 4.5 Stars
Look at all those 4 star reviews! It was a good month. Book of the month though was definitely Winterspell. Holy crap you guys. READ THIS F***ING BOOK! NUTCRACKER RETELLING. AMAZING. I CAN'T EVEN. JUST READ IT RIGHT NOW.

In My Real Life:
September was a rough month for me. My grandmother passed away this month which was why I fell off the face of the Earth for a few weeks. But I was lucky enough to get to be with her in her final days which is a memory I will always cherish.
It was my sister's birthday as well. I got her the hardcover copy of Throne of Glass with the new cover and a signed copy of Heir of Fire, personalized just for her by the gorgeous Sarah J. Maas. I also got her Deliverance by C.J. Redwine and some awesome R2D2 measuring cups since she's a total nerd. I hope she enjoys it all (I know she will) and I'm so happy that even though it was under poor circumstances, I got to spend some time with her on her birthday weekend.
Fast-Forward:
Clariel by Garth Nix - A decade later! I can't wait to jump back into this world!
Mortal Gods by Kendare Blake - I loved Antigoddess and can't wait to read the sequel!
Stitching Snow by R.C. Lewis - I've heard great things about this fairytale retelling!
Talon by Julie Kagawa - Dragons!!!!
Sublime by Christina Lauren - Okay, that cover is gorgeous. And Tahereh Mafi has spoken highly of it.
The Young Elites by Marie Lu - It's Marie Freaking Lu. I can't even contain my excitement about this book!
Stone Cold Touch by Jennifer L. Armentrout - Oh my god, Roth!!! Sexy demons. JLA. Just stop. This will be epic.
That about wraps it up! How was your September? Read any good books I should know about? What October releases are you most excited about?
