Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we make lists of bookish things!
It's almost 2015, which means it's time to talk about New Year's Resolutions! Disclosure: I suck at resolutions. I have to trick my brain into thinking that nothing actually "has" to happen. Or else I will fail miserably. So let's call these "goals".

It's almost 2015, which means it's time to talk about New Year's Resolutions! Disclosure: I suck at resolutions. I have to trick my brain into thinking that nothing actually "has" to happen. Or else I will fail miserably. So let's call these "goals".

Only 8 this year! These are all things I would really love to accomplish this next year! And I thought it would be fun to look back at last year's resolutions and talk about a few of them!
Well, that's it! Goals for the future and a look back at previous accomplishments and failures. What kind of resolutions are you making for 2015?

OOoh nice! I'm dying to go to BEA but thinking I might try in 2016 when it's in Chicago! Much closer than NYC!
ReplyDeleteAnd totally get about the blogging when you can thing! As I always say, blogging should be fun! Not a job! So post when you can and all that!
And ooooomg! Europe would be amazing! I went to Greece and Italy for a spring break trip my senior year in high school and it was awesome! I'm dying to go back myself!
Good luck with your resolutions!
Here's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
Yes, I'm actually from Chicago so I will definitely be going then. But I really want to try and go again this year. I live closer to NYC, but it's a lot cheaper to stay in Chicago. :D
DeleteI really hope we can swing Europe!! I think time is going to be the issue. With all the weddings I have coming up this summer, we may not have enough time off work. :(
Thanks!!
Great goals! Good luck on the "Go to Europe" one -- it would be fantastic if you can pull it off.
ReplyDeleteThank you!! It would be amazing! I just need to decide where in Europe. I'm torn between doing Italy or doing London, Paris, and a few other places on that side.
DeleteCongrats on accomplishing so many of your goals! This is an awesome list, best of luck with 2015 :) I'm hoping to read more of fantasy and scifi books this year, so let me know if you have any recommendations.
ReplyDeleteGirl, I am going to book-push so many fantasy/scifi books on you now....
DeleteFantasy:
Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas
Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson
Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch
City of a Thousand Dolls by Miriam Forster
The Burning Sky by Sherry Thomas
The Winner's Curse by Marie Rutkoski
Illusions of Fate by Kiersten White
Winterspell by Claire Legrand
Princess of Thorns by Stacey Jay
Scifi:
These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner
Avalon by Mindee Arnett
A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray
Okay, I'll stop now... Enjoy!
Ok! Awesome. I've read Throne of Glass, started Crown of Midnight ages ago (like December 2013) and had been trying to get out of a reading slump, but couldn't, and I was loving the book but couldn't find the time to read it and truly enjoy it so I set it down. Fast forward to December 2014 and I really want to pick it back up again! I will definitely have to pick up Girl of Fire and Thorns and Snow Like Ashes- I've heard amazing things and they sound awesome! City of a Thousand Dolls is one that my friend and I were talking about reading sometime, it sounds awesome and that cover is super pretty! The Burning Sky is one I hadn't heard much about- I will definitely be looking into it on Goodreads! The Winner's Curse I have almost picked up so many times lately- everyone's been rating it one of their favorite books of the year and I want to read it! Illusions of Fate is one I really want to read, so hopefully in the new tear!
DeleteAnd Winterspell I'm currently reading, by the way, I had to pick it up after you mentioned how much you enjoyed it and I was so curious about a retelling like this. Only about 13 pages in but it is really cool so far!
Princess of Thorns I will also look into on Goodreads.
These Broken Stars I read (and loved!) and so I just picked up This Shattered World. So excited! Avalon I have but haven't yet read! A Thousand Pieces of You is another one on my TBR I'm looking forward to. It sounds fantastic, and a book with another amazing cover.
Thank you so much for the recommendations!!
You're so welcome!! Definitely get back into Crown of Midnight. You will not regret it. :) Happy reading! And keep me posted on Winterspell!!! You have no idea how excited I am to hear that you're reading it right now.
DeleteI definitely will! I can email you sometime if you'd like and we can discuss them both.
DeleteYes, of course! I would love that!
DeleteGreat resolutions!! Yes, go to Europe if you can. I wish I had traveled more before I had a kid, but we finally went to London this past summer and it was so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteYou went to so many great book events! I'm really bad about that, and I'm still not sure about going to BEA. Part of me really wants to, but at the same time, it sounds like it's standing in lines for days, which just doesn't sound like fun to me. There's a conference here in Dallas in May that has ton of good authors that I may try to go to (RT Booklovers Convention). Still thinking about it, though. ~Pam
Yes, BEA is definitely standing in lot of lines. But the cool part is that you get to stand in those lines with blogging friends. I waited 3 hours for HoF, but it was so much fun because I was in line with some people I knew, then we met other people and started chatting. Really, I think that line was one of my favorite parts of BEA.
DeleteI have heard of RT before. One of my friends went last year. She had a great time! You should definitely try to go. It's so much fun!
