I Mustache You Some Questions

mustache-questions-300x300

Thanks to Wendy @ Book Scents for tagging me!

Four names people call me other than my real name:
  1. Becca: This is the one that most of my friends and family call me. I don't even tell people this is my nickname. Somehow they just all start calling me this eventually.
  2. Fin: This is a really strange nickname that Phil and I call each other. It started because I am obsessed with Finding Nemo and used to tell him to "hold my fin" all the time. Somehow it turned into a nickname.
  3. Becky Oliver: I hate the nickname Becky. But my parents used to call me this when I was a kid and I didn't mind it when they stuck the Oliver behind it. No idea where it came from and they don't use it much anymore, but it still occasionally comes out.
  4. Repo: This was a funny nickname I got as a kid from my parents. They couldn't pay the hospital bill after I was born and they used to joke that the hospital was going to repossess me. Hence, Repo.
Four jobs I’ve had:
  1. I worked for an Italian restaurant/pizza place in high school. Thank god I don't work there now because I'm pretty sure I would be morbidly obese. I ate so much delicious food working there.
  2. I worked for a grocery store in the Midwest called Jewel during college. I started out in the bakery, but then got moved up front to be a cashier (due to a screw-up when they hired me...I was under 18 and wasn't supposed to be using the bread slicers.). But it all turned out okay because that's how I met my husband!
  3. I worked for a college when I lived in Washington helping students with financial aid. Even though the company was HORRIBLE, this is probably my favorite job I've ever had. I loved helping the students and seeing the smile on their face when they were about to start school.
  4. Administrative Assistant/Project Coordinator. This is my current job. I started out doing admin work for a civil engineering and land surveying firm, but now I do more project coordination stuff. It's an awesome company and I really love working for them.
Four movies I would/have watched more than once:
  1. Over the Hedge. I love Hammy the squirrel.
  2. I'm going to have to second Wendy here and say Lord of the Rings. Phil and I just recently did a rewatch and it was AMAZING!!!
  3. Frozen! I'm obsessed.
  4. Elf. Every Christmas I try to watch this movie as many times as possible.
Four books I’d recommend:
  1. The Throne of Glass series, of COURSE. - This was Wendy's answer. I don't even need to change it because OBVIOUSLY.
  2. Red Rising by Pierce Brown - If you love science fiction you CANNOT miss this series.
  3. Pushing the Limits by Katie McGarry - I just read this and OMG I'M IN LOVE. With Noah Freaking Hutchins!!!
  4. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer - fairytale retelling plus science fiction. This series is absolutely AMAZING!!
Four places I have lived:
  1. Eagle River, Wisconsin where I was born and have no recollection of living in.
  2. Chicago suburbs where I grew up.
  3. Pasco, Washington where I lived with my husband for two years.
  4. And now the DC suburbs with my husband! LOVE it here!
Four places I have been:
  1. New York
  2. Punta Cana
  3. Sacramento
  4. Cancun
Four places I’d rather be right now:
  1. Chicago - with my mom and sisters.
  2. On the beach - I kept this from Wendy because the beach is my favorite place in the world.
  3. In Paris, shopping.
  4. In a magical land where I don't have to work, can read all the books and eat all the things without getting fat.
Four things I don’t eat:
  1. Seafood. Anything that comes out of water is not for me.
  2. Mushrooms. Why would I want to purposely eat a fungus??
  3. Beans. I don't like them. Except for edamame which is delicious.
  4. Coconut. Coconut should only be used to make lotions smell pretty.
Four of my favorite foods:
  1. Pizza!!
  2. Italian Beef! (If you don't know what that is, you're not from Chicago. If you're ever in Chicago, go to Portillo's and order one. You won't regret it.)
  3. Filet tips in tequila lime sauce over penne pasta. Yeah, that was really specific. But there's this restaurant out here called Sweetwater that makes this and it is one of the greatest things ever.
  4. Alfredo sauce. And really just any kind of pasta. I'm kind of a carb whore.
Four TV shows that I watch:
  1. Game of Thrones - Epic! Can't wait for Season 5!!!
  2. Once Upon a Time - Why did I wait so long to watch this show?
  3. New Girl - I laugh so hard watching this show.
  4. Mindy Project - Another show I laugh hysterically watching.
Four things I am looking forward to this year (2015):
  1. BEA! Hopefully I'll get to go again this year!
  2. All the amazing sounding 2015 book releases!!
  3. My mom and sisters coming out to visit this summer!
  4. Lots of beach weekends this summer!
Four things I’m always saying:
  1. "What's for [insert meal here]?"
  2. "Sorry not sorry."
  3. "I finished my book." To my husband who almost always responds "Already?" or "Another one?"
  4. "I miss your face." I say this to my sister all the time.
Four People I tag:
  1. Violet @ Paper Worlds & Swirls of Ink
  2. Pam @ YA Escape From Reality
  3. Sabrina @ I Heart YA Fiction
  4. Anyone else who wants to do this!

    1. Lol right? Most ridiculous nickname ever. Also, I have way more than 4. I have no idea why, but people tend to just make up new nicknames for me. Lol. Yep! He was the cashier and I was the bagger. <3

  3. OHMYGOSH. YOU WATCH THE MINDY PROJECT?! Finally. I thought I was the only person who saw that. Did you see his week's episode? It's amazing. ❤ Also it's so cute that you met your boyfriend at the grocery store. Sounds like something out of a contemporary novel.

    1. I do!! Yay! I'm glad to meet a fellow Mindy Project fan! I haven't watched this week's episode yet. I'll get to it this weekend. But I am DYING after last week's cliffhanger ending!!

Thanks! It does sound like something out of a book doesn't it? <3

  4. Fun tag and thanks for tagging me! I should be able to do this next week. Some of these are hard, though…how do you have so many nicknames??

How sweet that you met your husband at your job…doesn't it make you think how strange things are that you make a small decision that completely changes your life?

Game of Thrones…yes, cannot wait for Season 5. Have you seen the trailer? Looks like it's going to be an AMAZING season.

Elf!!! We watch it every year…one of the best Christmas movies! ~Pam

    1. You're welcome! Haha, I have even more nicknames than that. Idk, people just make up nicknames for me and so many seem to stick. Ppl at work call me Bex. Phil has a million different nicknames for me. But mostly Becca. :)

I know. It's so funny because I was fired from my other job a few weeks before I met him. I was devastated over it. But if it hadn't happened, I never would have worked at Jewel and never would have met him. Everything happens for a reason.

Omg I've watched the trailer like 15 times. I am SO EXCITED!!!

IT'S THE BEST CHRISTMAS MOVIE ISN'T IT??
