This was by far my favorite mini challenge of the love-a-thon. It was just so much fun to look at all my books and come up with some fun pictures to share with you guys. I decided on a theme of "50 Shades of Books".
I have concluded that I have an insane number of both red and blue books. Um... hey publishers, maybe some new colors? More orange? Hope you guys enjoyed looking at all the colors of my bookshelf! Link up to your snapshots so I can check them out!

All of these pictures are so good! I love how you sorted them into colours!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteThis is cool!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Fifi!
DeleteThat's awesome. I've always wanted to try that with my books.
ReplyDeleteI made a horrible mess of my bookshelves. Now I'm thinking maybe I'll organize my shelves by color...
DeleteI love your snapshots! I like all your color categories. I've been planning to reorganize my bookshelf by color for a while, but I'll admit I am a bit worried about separating series.
ReplyDeleteYes, same here. I love the way it looks together, but I worry that I won't be able to find anything I'm looking for...
DeleteOkay, I LOVE how you color coded these! Awesome idea :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! It was super fun and I was shocked by how many blue books I have. Lol
DeleteA lot of books seem to be blue themed indeed and I don't mind, one of my favorite colours :D Cinder, Scarlet, Ruin & Rising, Graceling, THE BOOK THIEF, A mad wicked folly. I spy a lot of books I own and love!
ReplyDeleteMel@thedailyprophecy
Same! I love all shades of blue. :D
DeleteI also probably have an insane book of red and blue books and almost no orange and yellow books. I don't think it's a very common color but I wish there were more.
ReplyDeleteGreat bunch of books and gorgeous pictures!
Cassi @ My Thoughts Literally
I know. Publishers should really branch out with their color schemes!
DeleteWow that's so creative Rebecca!!! All those blue books make me happy... and the gray ones :) Do you have your shelves color organized or did you just do this for the event?!
ReplyDeleteNo, they are not color organized. I just did it for this event and I made a huge mess of my bookshelves. LOL
DeleteLove the photos
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteHaha! I love this! Eyeing my own shelves, I have a lot of black. LOL. And reds. :) I made a mess of my shelves too- especially since I keep mine alphabetical!
ReplyDeleteSame here! Mine are alphabetical by author last name and I just destroyed all of that doing this challenge. It took me forever to put them all back.
DeleteI LOVE your pictures! So very pretty. :)
ReplyDeleteStefani @ Caught Read Handed
Thank you!
DeleteI adore the way you've chosen to do "shades" for your challenge post! I seriously find it mesmerizing to see books arranged by color like this.. and am sorely tempted to arrange my shelves like that, when I have bigger + better ones!
ReplyDeleteMe too! I really would like to arrange my shelves like this, but then I would have to split series and that makes me kind of twitchy. Also, I would be worried that I would never be able to find anything.
DeleteI love what you did with your photos! :) I think color coded shelves look so pretty; I organize alphabetically by author, but I think it'd be fun to give this a try one time!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I also organize alphabetically by author. I just pulled these down for this challenge. I think shelves organized by color are so pretty, but I'd be worried that I wouldn't be able to find anything.
DeleteLove the rainbow! I've always thought it would be fun to organize shelves by color, but it's impractical even though aesthetically pleasing. Spread the love <3
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree about the impracticality of it. I organize alphabetically by author last name. But they do look so pretty organized by color.
DeleteOhhh, color coding, nice! Especially those yellows!!
ReplyDeleteI know right? Doesn't it just look so cheery?
DeleteHaha I discovered that when I had mine color coded! Loads of blacks and blues...but not really many other colors. What about the greens? Or the oranges? Or purples! Come on guys!
ReplyDeleteRight?? Let's get more creative publishers!
