Book Bangin' is a feature hosted by Kelly @ Belle of the Literati where, once a month, we talk about hot boys in books!
Boys Mentioned:
"He's like dark and stuff..." Could I get any more rambly?
Who are your favorite book boys you hate to love?
Hahaha! Great post. Glad to see someone thinking about the hard hitting issues of literature...book boyfriends are IMPORTANT! All subscribed to the Youtube channel now. I don't want to miss another video like this XD
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks! It's a VERY important issue in literature. I just rambled nonsensically in this video. Thanks for subscribing!! <3
DeleteI hate Warner. I still hate Warner. He was NOT misunderstood! The author rewrote him. Sorry. Not sorry. :)
ReplyDeleteI hated Seth at first but in the new series…LOVE HIM.
Warden…LOVE HIM!
The Darkling…another guy I never liked. I always thought he was creepy, but he did redeem himself a bit, I admit.
I like the bad boy a lot of the times, but more the obnoxious jerk with a huge heart (generally from contemporary or NA books). Fun post!
Oh, and I'm planning on rereading Throne of Glass series too! ~Pam
Lol I know how you feel about Warner. We'll just have to agree to disagree on that one.
DeleteYeah, I never wanted the Darkling to be with Alina because he was too messed up and I knew in my heart that he was bad, but I couldn't help being intrigued by him and as we found out more of his backstory I just felt really bad for him. Have you read the novella from his POV? It's in the back of the B&N edition of R&R. I just stopped by a B&N, sat down on the floor and read it. Lol. It definitely gives a new perspective to his character.
OMG my reread is going so well! I forgot just how much I love this world and it's amazing how many new things I'm picking up on that I completely missed the first time.
TEEHEEE I also pet my covers -- not creepy in the least. :) Yes, I need to read that series and then text both you and Kelly!!
ReplyDeleteUmmm I'm with Pam regarding Warner.... he totally got rewritten.
I think the Darkling was a totally intriguing and multi faceted character but I never felt "love" toward him. He always creeped me out! I do agree he was lonely and his novella was super interesting but i didn't love him! I liked the character though.
Lol, I was like Oh god, I can't believe I just did that while filming, but then was too lazy to refilm so was like w/e don't judge me people.
DeleteWarner for life!
Did I tell you that I read the novella? I finally found it in a B&N and sat down on the floor and read it. Definitely made me love him more and understand him a bit better.
