Birthday Celebration and Giveaway!

Yes, it is my birthday today! I'm turning 23...I'm getting old. I love my birthday (who doesn't, am I right?). You get to celebrate, have all the people you love wish you happy birthday, and you get presents (which are hopefully books if your family knows you at all...). One of my favorite birthday traditions is getting a present by my bed the morning of my birthday. My mom used to do this for my sisters and I and now my husband has taken over the tradition. Other than that though, I'm not doing too much to celebrate this year. Going out to dinner with the hubby and then Skyping with the family later. But I did want to celebrate my birthday on the blog this year by hosting a giveaway for all you wonderful people!

So I'm giving away an ARC of Half Bad by Sally Green. This book was amazing and you all need to read it. If you like witches or paranormal stuff, then you will love it! Good luck!

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS GIVEAWAY IS FOR U.S. ONLY. Sorry international peeps! I wish I could afford to send stuff to you!

  1. My favorite birthday tradition is getting to pick where we go out to eat! This year it was Five Guys and Fries!

    2. It is delicious! My mom kept raving about it after she ate at one in DC while visiting my brother. Brian and I finally tried it in TX and fell in love. I LOVE FRIES!!!!!!!!!!!!! They give you a ton of fries and they are super fresh (straight from the potato fresh!)

    3. Mmmm..fries are my favorite thing ever! Seriously, I hate when the restaurants ask you if you want fries or chips. Is this a real question? Or even better, fruit or fries? Wtf. Does anybody actually order the fruit???

  2. I have 3 kids, so my big tradition is going out with my hubby to a restaurant that requires reservations, has linen tablecloths and does not offer crayons to it's patrons! That's all I ask for.

Happy Birthday to you! Enjoy your special day. -Dana

  5. Happy birthday! I hope you've been having a fantastic day :)
My relatives in India and they always call at 6 in the morning (or some other absurdly early time) to be the first ones to wish me a happy birthday :) I'm always grumpy for the first few seconds but by the time they get through the birthday song, I'm grinning.

  6. Happy Birthday!!! :) It's awesome you're 23. I just turned 23 back in February. LOL.

I don't really have any birthday traditions anymore since being in college. If there's anything I consistently do is probably eat cake. I always eat cake on my bday even if I have to bake it or buy it myself.

    1. Well happy belated birthday!

I'm actually not a huge cake person, but I do always make myself something sweet. I made homemade peanut butter brownies for myself yesterday and then ate way too many.
