BEA is Almost Here!

BEA is right around the corner!! I can't believe it's already here. I started blogging February 2013 and didn't even know what BEA was until it was like May. I lived in Washington and didn't have the money to go so I missed it. I wasn't that upset about it until everyone started talking about how much fun they had. I decided right then and there that in 2014 I would be going.

I almost couldn't do it. Hotels in NY are expensive!!! Luckily I have an aunt who lives in Jersey five minutes from the train station. I know this isn't ideal. A lot of bloggers warned me against it. But it's my first time and this was really the only way I was going to be able to go. So that's what I'm doing. I hope it works out for me!
Things I'm most excited about:
Meeting all the other bloggers that I talk to on the internet. It will be so amazing to meet everybody in real life! There are a couple people not going that I'm pretty sad about (looking at you Pam and Sabrina!). But there are so many others going that I can't wait to meet! There are also some people I met briefly at ALA that I'm excited to see again!

Authors. So many freaking authors! Have you seen the list? No. You can see it here. I'm sorry to all those not going. I'm sure I just made you all really jealous. Three I'm most excited to meet: SARAH J. MAAS. Omg. I can't even. I'm going to fangirl like crazy. MARIE LU. Okay, I've met her once, but I freaking love her and I'm dying to get my hands on her newest book, The Young Elites. JENNIFER L. ARMENTROUT. I just started reading her books pretty recently and I am IN LOVE.

And of course I am excited about the BOOKS. So many books. I'm really going to have to get my grabby hands under control. I'm going to try really really hard to only take what I really really want. I don't want to overwhelm myself. We'll see how I do.

Anyway, I can't wait. I'll do a whole big recap post after BEA. I'll also be tweeting the whole time I'm there so if you're not going follow along and share in the awesomeness. I'll do my best to make you feel like you're there with the rest of us!

Are you going to BEA? Is this your first time? Make sure to meet up with me if you're there and tweet me during the conference if you're not!

  1. I'm so sad I'm not going!!!! I know I'm going to be super jealous as I start hearing about everyone meeting authors and getting books so expect some mean comments from me. :)

I hope I can go next year, but it also sounds like ALA was awesome. If you're planning to go that next year, let me know, that one may be more doable depending on location.

But seriously, have so much fun and I can't wait to hear all about it. Is Heir of Fire going to be available?? Young Elites?? I'm already turning green. ~Pam

    1. I am so sad you're not going too! I would've loved to hang out in real life. Bring the mean comments on. :)

Yeah, ALA was awesome. I will have to look at where they're going to be for Midwinter. I know this summer they're going to be in Vegas, but they do two a year. Midwinter is smaller from my understanding, but there was still a ton of stuff there.

Heir of Fire is going to be there. Sarah will be signing ARCs. The Young Elites I am not 100% sure on. I think they might just be giving away samplers. I guess I'll find out soon enough! Anything you want me to try and snag you?

  2. Heir of Fire... Le sigh... I'm sure we'll meet up one day soon! :) ALA Midwinter is in Chicago! You should totally go. I live 2 hours away so I'll absolutely be there. :) Enjoy BEA so much for the both of us! Xo!

    1. Yes, I'm sure we will! I didn't know it was going to be in Chicago! I will do everything in my power to go. That's where I'm from so I would even have a place to stay. :)

    2. Did you go to ALA last summer in Chicago? If so, we probably stood in the same lines. Also, BEA will be in Chicago in 2016! So excited about that, though my hope is to make it to NYC next year before it moves. :)

  3. YAY so glad that you are able to go! Honestly, sure, it won't be as ideal staying in NJ BUT IT'S TOTALLY DOABLE, especially if that's the only way you can go ;) You will make it work and it will be awesome either way!! That's not bad at all.
Looking forward to meeting you in person!!!!

    1. Yeah, I'm sure it won't either, but I figured if that's the only way to make it work, then that's what I'm going to do. It's better than not going at all! Thanks again for all your tips. :) Can't wait to meet you!
