Didn't I just write one of these?? Oh yeah. I did. Because my May Rewind was like 3 weeks late. Fail. I'm only one week late this month! I'd say that's a wonderful improvement. So what was I up to in June? Not much. Not much at all. But I did read a LOT of books.

I think it was a pretty good month for books with only 4 that I didn't really like. Woot woot! No five stars though. Although you just wait. There are definitely some five star reads for the month of July...

I also recapped my amazing BEA experience, shared my thoughts on the Fault In Our Stars movie (Loved it!) and said farewell to one of my favorite smaller publishing houses. I also got a bit personal and talked about the difficulties of living away from family.
In My Real Life:
Not too much happened in June. Probably because I was trying to catch up
after my insanely busy month of May! I did stupid grown up things like
registering the hubby's car in the state of Virginia and switching my
drivers license over to VA. Lame, I know. But my mom is coming to visit
me in July so I'll be busy busy again! More sight-seeing and hopefully
lots of shopping! My mom and I are deadly together. We definitely know
how to boost the economy...
Fast Forward:
Let's Get Lost by Adi Alsaid
Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne
Landline by Rainbow Rowell
Boomerang by Noelle August a.k.a. Veronica Rossi
The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson
That's about it for June! What did you guys read last month? Anything I should be adding to my TBR? Did you do anything fun in June?
I'm planning on reading all of those July releases! I actually already read Midnight Thief (it was good, but I had a few issues, I would love to chat with you about them when you've read it so let me know) and Kiss of Deception (loved it!). I have to start reading Landline today because it's a book club pick and we meet Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteHope you and your mom have fun when she visits!
I just got back in town last night, by the way. I went to England (London and Oxford, mostly) and had serious internet issues so I'm just now catching up on blogging. So that's why you're seeing a ton of comments from me all at once. Just FYI! ~Pam
I just got Landline in the mail the other day! I haven't started it yet. It's sooo pretty though!!!
Deleteoooh fun! Sorry about the internet issues, but I'm glad you had a good trip. :)
Ok the reviews posted in July, The Murder Complex is definitely one I plan to pick up along with Fire & Flood. I'm curious about the Alice in Zombieland series too. A road trip book I read this month was Amy & Roger's Epic Detour and loved it! I think we've both talked about Midnight Thief and I am definitely excited about that book- loved the prequel novella. Awesome post!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear your thoughts on the Murder Complex! I definitely need to read Amy and Roger's Epic Detour. I just read her other two books and loved them both so I'm dying to get my hands on that one. Hopefully I'll get Midnight Thief soon and we can read together!
