My Review:

This book was exactly what I needed after my epic Covenant series binge-read. I needed something light. Something fun. Something fluffy. Because let's be honest. If I had jumped into another paranormal or fantasy it would have paled in comparison. So Let's Get Lost was the perfect recovery book. This book was good! Everything that I needed it to be and more.

The story is about a girl, Leila, who goes on a road trip across the country, but in a unique twist, it's told from the POV's of the people she meets along the way. And she meets some interesting people. Leila has a way of making people face their problems. I would call it her “superpower”. She doesn't really try to. She just does.

I really enjoyed getting to know all the characters along the way and in turn, getting to know Leila. You can tell during the whole book that she's hiding something so you're flipping the pages faster and faster to discover what her secret is. But at the same time, I also wanted to slow down and enjoy the story for what it is. And that is a leisurely road trip/adventure.

My favorite person she met along the way would definitely be Bree. She's a little wild and reckless (so is Leila when she's around her), but she was so full of life and energy. I would never be able to do the things that Bree did, and even though her decisions weren't good, I was still somewhat awed by this girl.

I also loved the family that Leila met at the very end of the book where we finally get to read from her POV. Their little girl was so adorable. Kids have a way of making you face the truth, just as Leila had a way of making all the other people face the music. And this little girl finally makes Leila come to grips with what has happened to her.

The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of was the romance and how that all came together throughout the book. I thought it was fast and then this one thing happened that I was not a fan of and honestly felt a bit creepy to me. I know, vague, but I don't want to give anything way. Anybody else who's read this think that?

But aside from the romance this book was so good! Definitely a unique road trip book with a fun and fluffy plot. It never got too serious, although there is depth to the story. Great summer/beach read! Happy reading all!
