Oh my goodness, July is over! No. Make it stop. Summer is going waaaay too fast. I am so not ready for cold weather. Do you know that I went to Walmart the other day and saw the back-to-school supply lists??? The kids just got out of school didn't they!! Why oh why does summer always go by so fast? I really need to movie to Hawaii... Anybody know of any engineering jobs for my husband in Hawaii? *cricket cricket* No? Damn. So anyway, July was a busy month for me. Here's the rundown of the blog and my real life:

Oh and I talked about Hot Military Men in my Book Bangin' post.
In My Real Life:
Like I said above, my mom came to visit for ten days last month so that was the majority of my July. We went into DC and did a lot of sight-seeing and we took an entire day to stimulate the economy. My mom and I went shopping for 8 hours. We are dangerous together. Watch out credit cards because we are going to use you and abuse you. Lol. But it was so nice to see my mom and spend some time with her. And she was nice enough to drive here all the way from Chicago just so she could bring me the rest of my stuff that has been sitting in her house for the past three years. She's one awesome mom.
August Releases I'm Looking Forward To:
Deliverance by C.J. Redwine: The last book in the Courier's Daughter trilogy!!! I can't wait to see how this is all going to end and I can't wait to see Rachel kick some serious butt.
Trial by Fire by Josephine Angelini: This book just sounds awesome. And I love the cover!
Opposition by Jennifer L. Armentrout: No, I have not started this series yet. But after binge-reading the Covenant series I can't wait to binge this one and the last one is out next month!!!
What were you guys up to in July? Read any awesome books I need to know about? What are you looking forward to reading in August?
I just started buying school supplies this week sigh....
ReplyDeleteWe actually looked into Hawaii, since my husband's company has openings there-it's INSANELY expensive to live there eep! It was fun to dream for about 5 minutes, but then we had a reality check, lol.
Yeah, that's very true. I live in Northern Virginia outside of DC and it is EXTREMELY expensive to live here. But Hawaii makes it look cheap. Lol *sigh* Guess I'll just have to deal with the cold and plan tropical vacations during the winter months. Or just look at pictures of the ocean and cry. Lol
DeleteGlad you had fun with your mom! Can't wait for Opposition, Deliverance, and Trial by Fire…all three are on my TBR list, but I will definitely be reading Opposition the day it comes out. I'm in JLA withdrawal right now, it's been awhile! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteHaha I just had that awesome JLA binge and I'm already dying for more!! As soon as Opposition comes out, I'll probably binge read that series. :)
DeleteThat's so awesome that your mom drove that far to see you :) Mom visits are the best!!! When my mom comes, we also do the same thing and just spend whole days shopping haha.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started the Courier's Daughter trilogy yet but I won the first book a few months ago and I do need to start it very soon. The covers are soo soo beautiful <3
I hope you have an awesome August Rebecca :)
Yeah, they really are! :)
DeleteYou need to start it!!! I really think that you'll like it. And yes, the covers are beautiful!
