Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we make lists of bookish things!

This week's topic is all about those books EVERYONE keeps telling you to read that you still haven't gotten around to. Some of these are just embarrassing.

That's all I've got. I actually had a really hard time coming up with these. Guess I don't listen very well when people are book-pushing me. Lol. What's on your list? What other books do I NEED to read?

  6. Yes, please read Harry Potter, like, right now! It's a comitment, but it's so fabulous. You will not hate it. The Grisha Trilogy was another series you will love. A long time ago before Veronica Roth was a super star and she still emailed her fans, she suggested Shadow and Bone to me. So glad I took her advice. It's a fantastic series of fantasy, sci- fi, love, action, the works. So get on HP, then pick up Grisha. You will not be disappointed! -Dana

  7. The Grisha series is what turned me on to fantasy novels! Before I was a strict only contemporary, maybe a little dystopian reader. Hope you get to VA soon!! It's one of my favorites.

  8. The Grisha series is one of my favorite fantasy series! The Vampire Academy books start off slow, but by the third book they really start to pick up. I also need to pick up the Lux series, but I have too many books that I need to read!

  9. Ok, here's my book pushing. Lux series…READ IT!!!! VA series…READ IT!!!! Grisha trilogy…READ IT!!!! And Harry Potter…obviously, but honestly, you may not like it as much as you would have, just because at the time, it was so different. Does that make sense? Have you seen any of the movies?? And I haven't even heard of The Bronze Horseman, I'll have to read the synopsis. ~Pam

    1. hahaha I will read them all eventually. That's what I'm worried about with HP. I haven't seen any of the movies so I'm like completely ignorant about all things HP. I don't understand any of people's references and I've somehow managed to avoid all spoilers. I have no idea how.

Bronze Horseman is historical fiction so not sure if it will be up your alley or not but I've heard amazing things from Kelly. You're not big on historical fiction though are you?

  10. Harry Potter! I can definitely understand the anxiety of not liking a book that has throngs of fans, but like 99% of us are not rabid, and we will not rage against you. But what it...what if! You read the series, and it turns out you really, really like it? Then you get to squee about the series along with the throngs of fans (it's really fun).
