Vacation Reads

Okay so this is going to be kind of a book haul post mixed with some stuff I've been doing on vacation. I left last Friday for Philadelphia and spent the weekend there with some of my husband's friends. We had a great weekend of going out, eating cheese steaks, and just catching up on life. On Tuesday, my husband and I took off for Ocean Grove, New Jersey where we visited some of my family including my 84 year-old Grandpa. We went to the beach, had the best East Coast pizza at a place called Vic's, and walked around the historic town of Ocean Grove. Now we are back in Philly to finish off a fantastic vacation with another weekend of fun.

Because I was going on vacation, I obviously requested an obscene amount of books from the library right before we left so I would have plenty of reading material. These are the books I brought with:

False Memory by Dan Krokos

Rush by Eve Silver

The Peculiars by Maureen Doyle McQuerry

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

Lots of books! I really thought that I would read a lot of these because these friends we are visiting love to play video games. That's actually how they met. Playing games on Xbox live. So I thought they would be playing tons of games and I would be reading. But we've actually been going out a lot and doing things. Not that I'm complaining. It's great! But I've only finished one of the books I brought with me. The Testing. Fail. I have started False Memory, but haven't gotten very far. I feel like such a failure.

Do you guys bring lots of books on vacation? If you do, do you read them all? Have you read any of the books above? What did you think? Leave me a comment below!

  1. I bring a lot of books on vacation too, although I always end up just reading them on the plane or at the airport! Rush sounds really interesting, I'm curious to hear what you think of it when you read it! :)

    1. Yep, that is definitely what happens to me. I only ended up reading two of these books. Fail.
