Fashion: Winter Must-Haves

Most of you probably don't know this, but I got my degree in Fashion Merchandising. It's pretty worthless... Seriously, it sucks. I can pretty much work in retail for the rest of my life. Cool. I'm not doing anything with it. BUT... that doesn't mean I still don't LOVE fashion. If I had millions of dollars.... Sorry I got distracted daydreaming about all the beautiful clothes, shoes, handbags, and books I could buy. Anyway, I thought I would do a fun post showing you guys my most-wanted items for the winter season!

I've been wanting a pair of faux leather leggings for like two years now. I don't know why I haven't bought a pair yet. These ones aren't even that bad, price-wise. There's just something so badass about leather leggings. I need them.
Mimi Chica Faux Leather Leggings (Juniors)

I love anything with lace. Seriously if it's made of lace I will buy it. Which is why I'm drooling over this shirt.
Frenchi® Lace Shirt (Juniors)

I love oversized sweaters in the winter. They are so cozy and warm and I just want to curl up in them under a blanket with a steaming cup of hot cocoa and a book. This is one of my favorites.
Rubbish® Oversize Knit Pullover (Juniors)

So peplum is really in style right now and I'm kind of obsessed with this dress that I definitely cannot afford. *cries*
Alexia Admor High/Low Peplum Ponte Sheath Dress

I'm obsessed with these boots even though the color is completely impractical. I love it. I love them. I want them.
Steve Madden 'Troopa' Boot

It is my lifelong to at least own a Burberry scarf. Yeah right. I don't think the husband is going to go for a $395 scarf... *sigh* Guess I'll just have to stare at it wistfully.
Burberry Giant Check Fringed Cashmere Muffler

Who says you can't wear white after Labor Day? I LOVE this bag. I will never ever own it, but I will lust after it.
Jimmy Choo 'Biker - Small' Leather Crossbody Bag

Okay, I'll stop. Because if I keep going this is going to get out of hand and pretty soon I'm going to start crying over my keyboard because I can't have any of the pretty things. Did anyone else notice that the items got progressively more expensive? That was not supposed to happen... Oops. Also, did anyone notice how much I love Nordstrom? Well in case you didn't: I LOVE NORDSTROM! I actually interned with them and that's when I truly fell in love. They are such an amazing company to work for and I just can't say enough good things. And the Rack is amazing. Have you ever shopped at Nordstrom Rack? You can score some seriously good deals there! Anyway, hope you guys enjoyed ogling all these glorious fashion items with me!

I lied....one more thing. I couldn't resist. It's a book clutch guys! A book clutch! And if you are made of money you can have it. They also sell a Frankenstein one and a Enter Three Witches design.
Olympia Le-Tan 'Dracula' Limited Edition Clutch

What are your favorite things I listed? Are there any winter must-haves on your list? Tell me what they are! Let's talk fashion today!

  1. I've always wanted a Burberry scarf too. I just wish I knew how to wear scarves, I see them in pictures like this one, but I never know how to actually get it to look like that. Oh well! ~Pam

    1. There's tons of fun tutorials on Youtube with like 25 different ways to tie a scarf. :) I've learned so many cool ways from watching them.

  2. Oh wow, that is awesome that you got your degree in fashion merchandising though! I always thought careers like that were so cool because the show "The Hills" really glamorized them :P

Faux leather leggings are amazing. AMAZING! I wish we had a Nordstroms here because those are so nice! One of the best pairs I have seen! Also those Steve Madden books... dies. I actually think the color is beautiful. I love deep colors.

I heard a rumor that we are actually getting a Nordstrom's in Toronto and I will seriously FLAIL if that is true (even though I hate shopping!). My mom travels into the states every year for a big shopping haul and the stuff she brings back from Nordstrom's is awesome, and especially the Rack!

Great post Rebecca!!! I hope you do more of these... I love oogling at this beautiful stuff :)

    1. Yeah, it's glamorized on TV, but in reality it's a life in retail. Unless you live in NYC and can get lucky enough to score a job as a buyer. But it's highly competitive.

Nordstrom is seriously my favorite. I can't even express how much I love them. The clothes are to die for and seriously the company is absolutely amazing. Best company I've ever worked for.

That would be awesome if you are getting a Nordstrom in Toronto! I think that would be their first store outside of the US.

I will definitely be doing more posts like this. It was fun to take a break from books for a day. :)
