Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish where we make lists of bookish things!
This week's topic is top ten gateway books meaning books that got us into something new, brought us back to reading, got us through a slump, whatever the case may be.
What are some of your gateway books?
Cinder along with Ella Enchanted got me into reading retellings, too. The genre I wasn't into was scifi, but the authors Hafsah Laziaf and Jamie Grey got me hooked on it. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI have yet to read Hafsah Laziaf's book, but it looks really good!
DeleteThis is a great list. The Hunger Games got so many people I know to read. A Mad, Wicked Folly is such a great book. I love that someone else is talking about it too.
ReplyDeleteYes! Everyone who tells me they loved A Mad Wicked Folly I get super excited about it! :)
DeleteRebecca, I love Twilight and it's on my list too ;) I can't wait to read Grave Mercy & A Mad Wicked Folly (Yes, I still haven't read it ) ... and FANGIRL! YES! I'm so happy that's on your list <3
ReplyDeleteYay! Glad to hear I'm not the only one. :) Read them now!!! They are amazing!! It was your read-along that got me to read Fangirl so thanks!!
DeleteHunger Games and Divergent…such fantastic dystopians. I measure all of them against those, which says something. Great list! ~Pam
ReplyDeleteYes agreed. I really feel like they are the two that started the craze.
